About Wendy

Wendy F. Eversole, the Smith Law Firm’s CFO, is an experienced Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer with a demonstrated history in the legal and accounting professions, both leading operations and serving clients.  Wendy has extensive experience as a skilled, decisive leader who has managed all aspects of firm operations necessary to support excellent client service, including accounting, information technology, client acceptance, marketing, business development, recruiting, human resources, facilities and risk management.

Wendy spent over fifteen years of her career with an international accounting firm as an auditor and a consultant serving clients across a variety of industries.  That experience provided a solid financial foundation, knowledge of complex financial transactions and energized her about problem solving.  More recently, Wendy served as the COO of a top 50 accounting firm and before that, as the CFO of a large Mississippi-based law firm.  She led operations through significant growth periods, geographic expansion and cultural changes in these firms.  Those positions taught her the ability to wear many hats and gave her practical experience in Business Planning, Leadership Development, Technology Solutions, Financial Management, Negotiation Skills and Risk Management.

Wendy obtained her Bachelors of Accountancy from the University of Mississippi and also holds her CPA and CGMA certifications.  She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants.
